According to people who were first at the scene, the woman most likely rode onto the pedestrian crossing on Łużycka Street after previously travelling across the footbridge near the garages from the direction of Włókiennicza Street. No one saw exactly how the collision occurred.
According to the Lubań-based outlet, even the driver of the Kia, who was involved in the incident, reportedly saw the cyclist only when she landed on the bonnet of his car.

Everything indicates that the elderly woman was not wearing any reflective elements, and the bicycle she was riding may not have had lights.
The woman was taken to hospital with multiple injuries. Her condition is serious. Police are investigating the causes and circumstances of the incident.
