Officers from the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters, working with the victims, arrested three men suspected of stealing fireworks. KPP: – The incident took place in the afternoon on New Year’s Eve at an open-air stand in the city centre. The perpetrators acted together and in concert. Two of them blocked the doors of the vehicle in which the seller was sitting, while the third stole fireworks worth more than PLN 500.
Information about the direction of escape and the perpetrators’ appearance enabled the thieves to be located quickly. Officers: – Just a dozen or so minutes after the crime was committed, the suspects were arrested by police patrols.
The result? The fireworks enthusiasts spent New Year’s Eve in police custody. All those arrested are residents of Bolesławiec County, aged between 25 and 29.

Unfortunately, the stolen property was not recovered because, according to one of the suspects, someone took it from the place where it had been hidden.
The perpetrators will be charged with so-called brazen theft. They face between six months and as many as eight years in prison. The prosecutor’s office placed the thieves under police supervision and banned them from approaching the victims.
