January 2022

Every year, you help in an exceptional way during the Final of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. From the beginning, the istotne.pl portal has provided media support for the Final in Bolesławiec. In 2022, you raised over PLN 160,000 at the Final!

A female reader showed exceptional empathy when, shortly before midnight on New Year’s Day, she found an injured kitten that had been hit on the road. We described her story and her difficulty obtaining help in the article: A Half-Alive Kitten on the Road on New Year’s Day. And No Help Anywhere?! What Happened That Night?

February 2022

Residents of the county delivered hundreds of thousands of tons of donations to Ukraine, which was fighting for its freedom. Many people were involved in creating the exceptional “Helping Hand” facility. For three days, more than twenty people—volunteers and employees of municipal and county institutions—sorted and packed donations for Zbaraż. A power generator, exceptionally valuable at that time and donated by PWiK, was also sent to the partner city. It was a great outpouring of solidarity and assistance in the face of war

Thanks to your big hearts and generosity, as well as donors from Poland and around the world, we fought for the life of three-year-old Julcia. The amount of goodwill that flowed from Bolesławiec County to this little girl and her family was immeasurable.

March 2022

At the parents’ request, we investigated the matter of Is the constitutional right to education being violated at a primary school in Bolesławiec? Together with you, we stand up for the secular nature of schools and the state. In this case, it was important to publicly expose a bad practice at a school where religion classes were held instead of substitute lessons in the relevant subject.

April 2022

It was a moving and very important moment for female refugees from Ukraine. In Bolesławiec, more than 800 children and their guardians met for the “Day of Children’s Solidarity” to send greetings to the children of Ukraine, express their dreams, and convey messages important to the adult world.

“Happy is the one who lives in peace; there is no greater happiness on earth” and “The measure of a true hero is not muscle strength, but strength of heart”—these were two of the many sayings that soared with ecological balloons in the national colors of Poland and Ukraine, released on Bolesławiec’s Market Square by Polish children and Ukrainian children staying in Bolesławiec.

May 2022

Kamila Konopnicka thanked the women and men of Bolesławiec who, 14 years earlier, had contributed to the treatment of her sick four-year-old son. In the interview, the mother told the story of her life and her fight for her child’s health. She spoke about what treatment looked like in Poland and abroad. She also talked about the fight against an American corporation on behalf of parents of children condemned to death.

June 2022

For several years, we have wholeheartedly supported the residents of the Powiatowy Młodzieżowy Ośrodek Wychowawczy and promoted the art and photography competition. On our pages, you vote for the best artwork or photograph, and thanks to your support, young people who lack positive role models can succeed in the competition.

Thanks to your votes, the winners of this year’s seventh edition, entitled “Portraits,” were:

  • Kinga Stępień – Młodzieżowy Ośrodek Wychowawczy in Radzionków (Silesian Voivodeship), photograph: “Headscarf and Palm Leaves”
  • Daniel Jakubowski – Dolnośląski Młodzieżowy Ośrodek Wychowawczy in Wałbrzych, photograph: “Group with the Polish Flag”
  • Tobiasz Oryński – Dolnośląski Młodzieżowy Ośrodek Wychowawczy in Wałbrzych, photograph: “Pencil Portrait, Golden Sash”
  • An additional prize (fourth place) went to Paweł Szoma from Powiatowy Młodzieżowy Ośrodek Wychowawczy in Iwiny, photograph: “Stone Photographer”

In June, you also helped the animals at Klekusiowo, and we showed how wonderfully you do it at the BMW Team Bolesławiec rally.

July 2022

You supported activists from the Women’s Strike, including Halina Gniewek from Gromadka. The police sought to punish Halina Gniewek for organizing a protest. The court found the evidence presented by the police insufficient.

In July, you also showed what good, constructive patriotism looks like and organized the Tour de Konstytucja in Bolesławiec, which we covered. Glinoludka read the Constitution of the Republic of Poland, as befits a city of ceramics!

August 2022

As every year, together with you, we created the Bolesławiec Ceramic Festival. We made sure that one of Bolesławiec’s events, Gliniada, would forever remain associated with Bolesławiec. The trademarks “gliniada” and “glinolud” belong to those who, for five years, have organized clay painting for residents and tourists in Bolesławiec, known as Glina Show. The decision was made by the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland. We described it in the article: No One Will Steal Gliniada from Us Anymore!

Thanks to you and your creations, Glina Show delighted Bolesławiec residents and tourists for the fifth time!

In August, once again we took free photographs in the #kochambolesławiec frame and handed out free calendars during the Bolesławiec Ceramic Festival.

You helped little Jaś at a charity fair. The charity fair “We Play, We Help, We Support Jaś’s Treatment” was held on Spacerowa Street.

Wolna Gromadka and Hörmann employees helped a little girl! Wolna Gromadka, supported by Hörmann, put up two containers for bottle caps. Thanks to them, residents of Gromadka and Hörmann employees could help the little girl while also caring for the environment. Two hearts were installed: one on the company premises and the other in Gromadka.

October 2022

You cheered on young homeless Kuba – Rocky from Bolesławiec. Thank you so much for every kind word!

Together with the staff of St. Luke’s Hospital, we promoted the region’s first Obstetric Forum presenting and promoting the latest standards of perinatal care for mothers and newborns. The idea behind the Forum was dialogue with the mother, her partner, and the midwife who cares for the family, supporting it competently and professionally throughout pregnancy and childbirth and during postpartum care.

November 2022

We helped mothers whose children attend Bolesławiec’s “Number Five” school on Dolne Młyny Street. Their stories were described in the article: What Terrible Thing Is Happening at Primary School No. 5 on Dolne Młyny Street?

You also supported Ewa Rupa in her fight for health by attending a charity concert organized by Powiat Bolesławiecki with the support of kind people, singers, and musicians.

December 2022

You supported the mother of 22-year-old Magda, who is addicted to psychoactive substances, and who no longer has the strength either to help her daughter or to fight for her in court.
