A policewoman from the Warta Bolesławiecka police station, while on duty with an officer from the Kruszyn police station, noticed a vehicle on the road whose user was suspected of having committed an offense.
After stopping the car, the officers made sure that a well-known resident of Bolesławiec County was behind the wheel. Their suspicions were confirmed, and the man was detained in connection with a burglary committed on December 4 at an outbuilding in Gromadka Municipality. Among the stolen items were power tools and pipes. The total losses were valued at more than PLN 5,000. Unfortunately, within a few hours the offender found buyers for the stolen items.
In addition to the burglary charge, the 29-year-old was also charged with violating a court-imposed driving ban.
The offender faces up to 10 years in prison.
