– Officers from the Legnica traffic unit, while on duty in Prochowice, noticed the driver of a Renault whose driving was uncertain and who looked too young to be driving a vehicle – reports Senior Constable Katarzyna Baniewska of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica.
The officers decided to stop the driver for a roadside inspection. The spokesperson: – Despite the flashing lights and audible signals ordering him to stop, the driver continued driving. The officers set off in pursuit.
She adds:
When he reached the intersection with national road No. 94, he stopped the vehicle. The officers ran up to the man and ordered him to get out of the car.
The fugitive turned out to be a 17-year-old resident of Środa Śląska who did not have a driving licence. What is more, it emerged that he was wanted because he had left the Youth Educational Centre without permission.
The court will now deal with his case.
