During a night patrol checking the industrial zone in Gromadka municipality, officers from the Police Station in Kruszyn noticed a vehicle whose driver lost control, went off the road, and, while attempting to return to the roadway, hit a road sign.

The officers immediately intervened to check the driver and determine the reasons for his behaviour.
The officers immediately smelled alcohol on the driver. Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters: – A sobriety test of the 33-year-old Belarusian citizen showed more than 2.6 per mille of alcohol in his system.
The man was detained and, after sobering up, expedited proceedings were initiated against him. By court decision, the foreign national lost his driving licence and received a three-year driving ban; he was also ordered to pay PLN 5,000 to the Fund for Assistance to Victims.
The second drunk driver was detained by another patrol on one of the roads in Gromadka municipality. Police:
A check of a passenger vehicle ended with the detention of a resident of Świdnica County. The 38-year-old, travelling through Bolesławiec County, had 0.6 per mille of alcohol in his system. His driving licence was confiscated.
Let us recall that driving a car while drunk carries a sentence of up to two years in prison.
