Both incidents occurred on Friday, 25 November. Firefighters from the Bolesławiec County Headquarters of the State Fire Service reported on the accident on national road No. 94, in the town of Jędrzychowice:
(…) The Specialist Technical Rescue Group from Bolesławiec took part in an incident in Jędrzychowice (Zgorzelec County). On DK 94, a passenger car collided head-on with a truck. The actions of the Bolesławiec firefighters involved pulling the passenger car away using cable winches and then removing the fatality with hydraulic tools. The road was impassable in both directions for several hours.

Bolesławiec firefighters on the second Friday incident:
At approximately 12:18 p.m., the Operations Command Post of the Bolesławiec County Commander of the State Fire Service received another report of a truck accident at kilometre 55 of the A4 motorway in the direction of Wrocław. The duty officer dispatched two units from JRG Bolesławiec and two units from OSP Różyniec and Krzyżowa.
Upon arriving at the scene, they found a truck on the crash barriers, with its trailer lying in the motorway lane. Neither the truck driver nor any other road users were injured.
The units’ actions involved containing diesel fuel leaking from the tank and engine oil. Once the leaks had been dealt with, the scene was handed over to the road administrator. The road towards Wrocław was blocked for several hours, and the police organised a detour through Bolesławiec via provincial roads and national road 94.
