Bolesławiec police detectives identified, as a result of operational activities, a person suspected of stealing a wallet from a store’s back room. Officers:
The thief stole PLN 400 in cash, documents and a payment card, which he later used.
The 39-year-old used someone else’s card 10 times and paid with it for purchases at various stores in Bolesławiec seven times. His next three attempts failed because the cardholder had managed to block the card.
In total, the thief stole more than PLN 350 from the victim’s account. The arrested 39-year-old, who confessed to the crime, now faces a sentence of between one and as many as 10 years in prison.
