I, a soldier of the Polish Armed Forces, swear
to serve the Republic of Poland faithfully,
to defend its independence and borders.
To stand guard over the Constitution,
to uphold the honor of the Polish soldier,
and to defend the military standard.
For the sake of my homeland,
when necessary, to spare neither my blood nor my life.
So help me God.
These words were spoken on October 29, 2022, by soldiers of the Voluntary Basic Military Service who had completed 28 days of basic training.
The volunteers now face up to 11 months of specialized training.
