A reserve soldier’s car was robbed, even though he had parked it near the unit itself. The thieves were not particularly concerned about whom they were robbing. Another reserve soldier:

They tried to cut out the catalytic converter in my car, but didn’t cut it all the way through because I secured it with a flat bar along its entire length.

And adds:

And practically after every exercise, such surprises await us.

He also points out:

Many soldiers, when leaving for the border or a training area, leave [samochody] on the unit’s premises; reserve soldiers also ask the unit’s security staff for such permission, and the training personnel inform them that they will not receive it because there is an alert and only a unit employee or a professional soldier can obtain permission.

As 2nd Lt. Agata Zawal, press officer of the 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade in Świętoszów, informed us, the reservist whose car was robbed did not ask for permission to leave the car in the unit’s parking lot. She added, however, that there may have been a situation in which reservists were indeed not allowed to do so for some reason. This does not change the fact that any soldier can submit such a request to the brigade commander.

She also emphasized that, apparently, the commander has never rejected any request of this kind. But she immediately added that it must also be taken into account that the parking lot on the unit’s premises is not made of rubber.
