The incident occurred on Saturday, 15 October, in the afternoon. As reported by the lwowecki.info service:
A woman walking near the Boulevard along the Kwisa River in Gryfów Śląski spotted a dog on the riverbank trying to escape from the mud. The animal was already very weak and needed help. The local resident informed the police.
Police officers from Gryfów Śląski were dispatched to the scene and asked the local municipal police chief for assistance. (Although he was off duty, he also immediately went to the scene.)
The animal was rescued and, safe and sound, handed over to its owner.
