(...) at around 10:30 p.m., emergency services received a report of an accident on the grounds of the old swimming pool on Kamienna Góra in Lubań.
The aforementioned swimming pool—as the local outlet explains—has not served its original purpose for a long time:
For years, the ruins of the former sports facility have been chosen by young people as a meeting place.
It turned out that the 15-year-old boy fell from a diving platform into the empty pool basin. He could not be saved.
The prosecutor’s office and police are investigating the circumstances of the tragedy.
