The tragedy occurred on October 12, at around 3:00 p.m., at a railway crossing in Zgorzelec. A 15-year-old resident of Zgorzelec was fatally struck by a railbus. As the NaStyku.pl portal reports:

(...) the teenager reportedly stepped onto the tracks at the last moment, directly in front of the approaching railbus. Unfortunately, the driver had no chance to react. (...) Unofficially, it is said that it was unfortunately suicide.

The police and prosecutor’s office are investigating the case. An autopsy is expected to resolve any doubts.
