Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters reports:
While off duty, Bolesławiec police officers received information that a probably intoxicated driver had arrived near the building where they were located.
The officers reacted immediately. As it turned out, a drunk driver was indeed behind the wheel of a passenger car. The police took his keys, preventing him from driving any farther, and called a patrol to the scene.
When the on-duty officers arrived, it became clear that the 47-year-old had committed more than one offense. Not only had he driven while drunk (1.6 per mille of alcohol in his system), but he had also violated a court-imposed driving ban in effect since 2021.
The extremely irresponsible resident of Bolesławiec County now faces between three months and as many as five years in prison.
