Officers from the Police Station in Nowogrodziec detained men who robbed a PKP building of its electrical installation. The unused property was a place where two residents of Osiecznica Commune pulled out the wires.
They then burned them in a nearby forest and sold the metal obtained in this way at a scrap yard. The suspects jointly made PLN 200. However, the losses caused by their criminal actions were estimated at PLN 9,000.
The 22-year-old and his colleague, who is a year older, acted together. The suspects are known to the local Police for property-related crimes.
Theft is punishable by up to 5 years in prison.
