Police officers from the County Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec and the police station in Kruszyn recovered a vehicle worth PLN 110,000 and arrested a suspect as a result of joint operational activities.
The officers established that a van originating from a crime was located in one of the localities in Bolesławiec Gmina. The vehicle was located by officers in a residential parking lot. The cooperation between police officers from Bolesławiec County also resulted in the arrest of a 36-year-old resident of Lubusz Voivodeship.
Investigators determined that the vehicle burglary took place during the night of September 26–27 this year in Słubice. The perpetrator acted under cover of darkness. After committing the crime, the suspect from Lubusz Voivodeship left the vehicle in Lower Silesian Voivodeship. When he came to collect his loot, he fell into the hands of the police.
The vehicle, worth PLN 110,000, was recovered and returned to its owner, who was very pleased because the van is his tool of work.
The 36-year-old was charged with burglary and faces up to 10 years in prison.
