23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment in Bolesławiec:

Practical training as part of the program was conducted during the summer break. Students had to choose one of the military training sessions, which lasted 6 weeks and consisted of two modules: basic training lasting 21 days, concluded with an examination, the taking of the oath and obtaining the rank of private in the reserve, and non-commissioned officer training, also lasting 21 days and concluded with an examination, after which the students were appointed to the rank of corporal in the reserve.

The cadets who completed training as part of the practical section of the Academic Legion program’s non-commissioned officer module were presented with appointment certificates to the rank of corporal.

Representing the commander of the 23rd Artillery Regiment, Lieutenant Colonel Robert Oleś thanked the students for participating in the training and congratulated them on their promotions and successful completion of the training. He also wished them success in their further military service and safe journeys home. (At the end, a commemorative photograph of the training participants was taken.)

The unit adds:

The Academic Legion is a project aimed at all students of higher education institutions who want to undergo military training. Through it, one can obtain a military rank and, after completing their studies, join the army in order to actively serve the homeland. Participation in the AL program is not only a summer adventure; it is also the pursuit of one’s own passions and an opportunity to gain additional qualifications.
