County Executive Tomasz Gabrysiak mentioned many investments at the county’s St. Luke’s Hospital in Bolesławiec during his report on the most important activities undertaken between sessions. Here are some of the more significant ones:
- The operating theatre and the anaesthesiology and intensive care department are scheduled to open next week.
- On 1 October, the hospital kitchen will begin operating, managed by a chef who worked in the best French restaurants for 10 years. The ZOZ kitchen’s services will be available both to patients and, ultimately, to everyone interested. More in the article: Revolution in the hospital kitchen in Bolesławiec! A chef from France will cook for patients. (Investment cost: PLN 1.5 million; financing: the hospital’s own funds).
- Finishing work is under way at the Hospital Emergency Department. (At the session, the County Executive said: “New space, new buildings, new equipment and new furnishings.”) Cost: PLN 8 million; financing: the Ministry of Health and the state budget).
- On 1 September, the hospital took over the unit responsible for dialysis. T. Gabrysiak said: “We will now run it ourselves; we are in the process of purchasing modern equipment for this station.” The station will have 12 dialysis positions.
- The work on the hospital laundry is expected to be completed at the turn of October and November this year. This is another service that will now be provided by the facility itself rather than by an external provider.
- The area in front of the hospital’s main building has also been redesigned. New parking spaces and a roundabout have been built. The aim is to improve traffic flow.
- Two hospital lifts in the old wing, both more than 20 years old, have been replaced. More are to be replaced next year.
We will certainly return to this subject.
