As we have established, an unexploded ordnance item was found on September 12 near the Police Station in Nowogrodziec. It is initially known that securing the item will require an evacuation.
The dangerous find will be dealt with by soldiers from the Bolesławiec Bomb Disposal Patrol of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment.

As reported by the Bolesławiec police, a decision has been made: the unexploded ordnance will be removed tomorrow.

Bolesławiec Bomb Disposal Patrol of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment:
On 2022.09.13, from 8:00 a.m., residents will be evacuated from the danger zone within a radius of 400 m of the Police Station.
The Bomb Disposal Patrol’s explosive ordnance disposal operations to remove the unexploded ordnance will begin at 10:00 a.m.
People will be evacuated from the following streets:
- Bolesławiecka, nos. 1–18,
- 1 Maja, nos. 1–22,
- Kościelna, nos. 1–18,
- Cicha, nos. 1–6,
- Strzelecka, nos. 1–4,
- Lubańska, nos. 1–28a and 31–48,
- Krótka, entire street,
- Ogrodowa, nos. 1–6a,
- Sienkiewicza, nos. 1–14,
- Asnyka, the entire estate from no. 1 to 62,
- Mickiewicza, nos. 1–16, as well as 20 and 24,
- Parkowa, entire street,
- Górników, entire street,
- Kolejowa, nos. 1–15 and 26–48,
- Robotnicza, entire street,
- Wesoła, entire street,
- Chopina, nos. 1–9,
- Rynek, entire street,
- Kościuszki, entire street,

During the evacuation, rooms have been prepared at the community center in Milików and at the community center in Zebrzydowa. Transport to these locations will be provided for people who do not have their own means of transport. People requiring assistance with evacuation and those requiring medical transport are asked to call 501 478 788 today by 10:00 p.m.; tomorrow, September 13, between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m. After that time, requests should be reported to police officers working in the area. On September 13, from 8:00 a.m., pedestrian and vehicle traffic in the danger area will be halted until further notice.
Information about the end of the evacuation will appear on the www.nowogrodziec.pl website, on the mayor’s and city office’s Facebook profiles, and in local media. The information will also be announced via loudspeaker.
