The forests in Bolesławiec County attract mushroom-picking enthusiasts. In recent days, Bolesławiec police officers have received several reports from mushroom pickers who found dangerous objects.
They add:
We appeal for common sense and for the appropriate services to be notified if an object that may be unexploded ordnance is discovered. Leaving it there poses a serious threat to the life and health of other people.
They also remind us:
Despite the passage of many years, finds of this kind may still be extremely dangerous. Digging them up or disarming them is prohibited. They must not be touched, moved, kicked, or sawn.
