The celebrations of the 55th anniversary of the establishment of the 62nd Special Company and the 15th anniversary of the creation of the Special Forces will take place on Saturday, September 3 at the MOSiR Water and Sports Centre in Bolesławiec (Spacerowa Street). It begins at 11:00. (The event is scheduled to end at 16:00.)

We invite all military enthusiasts to experience quite an adventure. All special units of the Polish Armed Forces have announced their attendance and will present individual and team equipment, wheeled, parachute and watercraft equipment.

The event will feature a range of diverse attractions, from physical exertion to demonstrations and activities at training and information stations.

At 11:00, together with a cannon shot, the seventh edition of the Cross Commando Run for the Brown Bear Statuette will begin. It is aimed at students of uniformed classes, soldiers of the Polish Armed Forces and the US Army, as well as “endurance-training enthusiasts”. The Association of Former Soldiers of the 62nd Special Company “Commando”, the event organiser: It is worth noting that special distinctions and gifts will be awarded to participants who show strength of character and complete the course with a self-organised handicap (e.g. additional weight, sniper outfits, OP1 suits or masks).

The programme also includes:

  • fitness stations, including knife throwing and self-defence;
  • a reenactment group of the 62nd Special Company and a historical reenactment group—the 1st Independent Commando Company;
  • a collection of assault knives and special-forces insignia from around the world;
  • stands with uniforms.

The organisers assure visitors that there will be plenty of attractions for the youngest visitors:

Stations will be organised for children, where they will complete various fitness tasks and learn how to load magazines and take part in loading competitions. Pilots in helicopters from the 7th Wing Squadron will appear in the sky, together with parachutists and commandos demonstrating rope techniques.

Zachar has also announced his attendance, accompanied by the Special Forces Training Centre. This will provide an opportunity to receive answers to questions concerning selection and service in the Special Forces.

There will also be something for fans of books and true military stories. Icons such as

A major attraction will be the appearance of Direct Action and Helikon-Tex, as well as the Polish representative of Accuracy International, which produces the finest precision (designated marksman) rifles used by leading units around the world.

There will also be unsung heroes, without whom many military-themed events in Poland would not take place—namely, the “Help for a Veteran” Foundation and the “I Support Quietly and Effectively” Foundation.
