Junior asp. Przemysław Ratajczyk from the Press Section of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław:

People once laughed at emails from a wealthy resident of southern Europe who was looking for people willing to accept his fortune. However, many people fell for this obvious attempt at fraud. Now some are surprised that elderly people fall victim to criminals using the “grandchild” method, yet susceptibility to fraud is also found among the younger generation. Social media users are increasingly becoming victims.

The spokesperson adds: – Despite numerous appeals, when browsing the accounts of celebrities or our idols, we still do not verify their authenticity and may come across fake accounts impersonating their genuine owners.

Two young residents of Legnica County, who were fascinated by fortune-telling, found this out painfully. They followed one of the fortune-tellers online. In his recordings, he recommended a “trustworthy ritualist”.

The young fans of occult nonsense decided to use the services of a “black magician”. They found his advertisement on another portal and, from among the many rituals offered by the fraudster (some costing as much as PLN 10,000!), chose a “love entanglement”.

The said ritual was supposed to involve “attracting love and joining two souls destined for each other”. The details were to be agreed by all interested parties one week before the quasi-magical procedure began. However, they were not agreed, because as soon as both women paid PLN 2,000 each, contact with the pseudo-occultist was cut off.

Police:

We appeal to you!

Let us take care of our safety online and verify the identity of people with whom we communicate or make acquaintances, so as not to become another victim of fraudsters!
