– Police officers from the Economic Crime Department of the Jelenia Góra Municipal Police Headquarters gathered evidence that enabled the prosecutor from the Jelenia Góra District Prosecutor’s Office to bring charges against a 41-year-old resident of Karkonosze County. The indictment in the case has already been submitted to the Jelenia Góra court – reports Deputy Inspector Edyta Bagrowska, press officer of the Jelenia Góra police.
She adds:
As officers established, since at least 27 April 2020, the man had been conducting business in Karkonosze County, in areas protected by the Bóbr Valley Landscape Park, and, despite lacking a permit, had been storing waste in conditions and in a manner that could have endangered human life or health and could have caused extensive damage to plant or animal life.
Moreover, it was established that this practice had reduced the quality of the water and the land surface. The 41-year-old will now face trial, and he could be sentenced to up to 5 years in prison.
