Update 10:14
In the morning, the police received a report from a resident of Bolesławiec about a stolen vehicle. (It was stolen from outside her home, which was not a great achievement for the thieves, since the owner had left the keys in the vehicle).
One patrol spotted the vehicle in question and began pursuing the suspects.
At one point, the pair of fugitives drove into a wooded area. The pair abandoned the car and tried to escape on foot. Unsuccessfully.
Two people were arrested: a resident of our county known for crimes against property, and a woman from Lubań County. Both face up to five years in prison.
The police report that the last three car thefts in Bolesławiec County occurred in exactly this way: someone recklessly left the keys in the vehicle. We appeal to everyone: do not do this, even if you are only going somewhere for a moment. Do not help thieves.
