Criminal investigators from Złotoryja identified, as a result of operational activities, a location where drugs may have been produced. – Information obtained by officers indicated that the illegal “laboratory” was located in Złotoryja, on private property. During a search of the selected outbuilding, police confirmed their suspicions – explains Staff Sergeant Dominika Kwakszys, press officer for the Złotoryja police. – At the scene, they arrested a 36-year-old resident of Złotoryja suspected of producing drugs and secured significant quantities of methamphetamine, marijuana and tablets containing a substance prohibited under the Act on Counteracting Drug Addiction.
Secured in total:
- almost 5.5 kilograms of illegal substances,
- products for manufacturing further batches of drugs,
- “laboratory” equipment,
- money in various currencies (nearly 30,000 zlotys in total).
The detainee was first taken to police custody and was then brought before the prosecutor’s office, where he was charged with producing significant quantities of psychotropic substances and possessing significant quantities of narcotic substances.
At the investigators’ request, the court remanded the suspect in temporary custody for three months. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
