The incident took place on Monday, May 30, in the morning hours. – Officers received a report of a road incident on national road no. 18, in which a van was reportedly involved. At the scene, police officers did not find the indicated vehicle – reports Staff Aspirant Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters. – A few minutes later, while checking the nearby area, a patrol spotted a van with a damaged front at a construction site.

The driver of the vehicle turned out to be a 44-year-old resident of Lubusz Voivodeship, who confirmed that, while driving to Berlin, he had hit the back of a lorry.

But that was not the end of the story. It emerged that the man was completely drunk. He had more than 2.5 parts per thousand of alcohol in his system. Police officers:
