On Sunday morning, officers of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec received a report of a citizen’s arrest of a thief in the Bolesławiec municipality. – The neighbor, who knew that the owners were not at home, noticed a stranger doing something by the garage window on a nearby property – reports Staff Aspirant Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters. – He called a friend, and together they approached the suspect to check what he was doing and who he was. At the same time, the property owner was notified of the entire situation.
The suspect turned out to be a 25-year-old resident of Bolesławiec; he was detained. It turned out that the man from Bolesławiec had first wanted to steal power tools from a garden shed and then attempted to break into the house.
The would-be thief was charged. He faces up to 10 years in prison. District Police Headquarters:
