Bolesławiec traffic police stopped the same vehicle for inspection twice within a few hours. The reason was also identical: speeding. – The same people were travelling in the car, but a different driver was behind the wheel each time – explains staff sergeant Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec.
The first traffic inspection took place on the A4 motorway; the vehicle was stopped because it was travelling at 149 km/h. Two residents of Legnica County were travelling in the car. District Police Headquarters:
During the inspection, the police became suspicious that the driver was under the influence of drugs. The test confirmed that the 36-year-old had previously taken a narcotic. He told the police officer that he had taken an ecstasy tablet for a toothache.
The 36-year-old immediately lost his driving licence. What is more, he now faces up to two years in prison.
That was not the end of it, however. A few hours later, in a rural area, another traffic patrol stopped – what a coincidence! – the same vehicle for inspection. As it turned out, this time the “toothache remedy specialist’s” 33-year-old colleague was the one speeding. (In this case, the proceedings ended with a fine).
