Bolesławiec traffic police detained an intoxicated motorcyclist. – A resident of the Nowogrodziec municipality got on a motorcycle with more than 2.5 per mille of alcohol in his system – reports asp. szt. Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec. – On Sunday afternoon, the 46-year-old lost control of the vehicle on a bend in the road and fell.

As it turned out, the fact that the 46-year-old was intoxicated was not his only offence. It emerged that the detainee did not have a driving licence, while the vehicle itself had no valid technical inspection or compulsory insurance.

Spokeswoman:

In this case, only the 46-year-old will face the consequences of driving after drinking alcohol. However, it often happens that in a road incident caused by a drunk driver, other road users suffer.

The 46-year-old faces up to two years in prison.
