– Over the past weekend, police officers in Bolesławiec County detained four men in connection with the possession of narcotic substances and two who were driving under the influence of drugs – says Asp. Sgt. Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec.

A 33-year-old man was caught with several portions of methamphetamine, while officers from Nowogrodziec detained two residents of Bolesławiec County who possessed marijuana.

Meanwhile, Bolesławiec community police officers stopped a vehicle driven by a 31-year-old man for inspection. The test showed that the man had been driving a passenger car under the influence of methamphetamine.

Then, during the night from Saturday to Sunday, traffic police in Warta Bolesławiecka municipality stopped another driver after he had taken drugs. This time, it was a 22-year-old.

What is more, an hour later, in the same locality in Warta Bolesławiecka municipality, a 36-year-old resident of Lubin was caught carrying several portions of a psychotropic substance.

Those detained with illegal substances face up to three years in prison. Those who got behind the wheel after taking drugs could be jailed for two years.
