Every day, officers from the KPP in Bolesławiec conduct numerous traffic checks throughout the county, during which drivers under the influence of alcohol or intoxicating substances are stopped. Bolesławiec officers:

It is not only the work of police officers that reveals drivers who fail to comply with and disregard the law, but also information received from other road users that the conduct of other drivers on the road raises doubts.

In recent days, officers arrested as many as nine offender drivers on the roads of our county:

  • Four people, aged between 25 and 32, were caught violating a court-imposed driving ban.
  • Two drunk drivers were identified. One had 3 per mille of alcohol in his system, while the other, with 1.7 per mille, caused a collision. (Those arrested were aged 58 and 69.)
  • Two more drivers, aged 29 and 32, were caught after getting behind the wheel under the influence of drugs. (One of those arrested was a woman.)
  • A 31-year-old man was also arrested after driving a car despite having his driving privileges revoked.

It is worth adding that two impaired drivers were caught by police thanks to reports from members of the public.

Komenda Powiatowa Policji w Bolesławcu: – We appeal to drivers to exercise caution and to be honest with themselves and other road users.

It adds:

Driving a vehicle while subject to a court-imposed ban is punishable by up to 5 years’ imprisonment, while driving a vehicle while intoxicated or under the influence of an intoxicating substance is punishable by up to 2 years’ imprisonment.
