The robbery took place on April 23 at a grocery store in Luban. – The masked 21-year-old entered the store, threatened the shop assistant with an air pistol, and then stole money from the cash register. He also used violence against a customer, rendering her defenseless – says asp. szt. Justyna Bujakiewicz-Rodzeń, press officer of the Lubań KPP. – The attacker took the injured woman’s wallet containing money and documents.
The victims notified the police. Based on the information obtained and after analyzing surveillance footage, officers identified a suspect in the aforementioned crimes. He turned out to be a 21-year-old man. He was arrested by detectives. (They found a backpack containing the air pistol and the victim’s wallet in the forest).
But that was not the end. The spokeswoman says:
During further investigative activities, detectives determined that the 21-year-old was responsible for thefts and burglaries, including at a general-goods store in the Olszyna municipality. The suspect was charged with a total of nine offenses.
At the prosecutor’s request, the court ordered the aggressor held in pretrial detention for three months. The man could face up to 12 years in prison.
