Bolesławiec police received a report in the morning that fuel worth nearly PLN 1,300 had been stolen from a petrol station. The officers said: – The perpetrators pulled up to the pump, the passenger got out of the car and filled a special tank located in the vehicle with fuel.
The two men then drove away without paying.

A quick review of the surveillance footage made it possible to identify the perpetrators. Two hours later, the officers located the vehicle and arrested one of the perpetrators, a 19-year-old resident of Lwówek County. As a result of further actions, the second suspect, a 26-year-old from Bolesławiec, was also arrested.
Both detainees were charged with stealing more than 180 litres of fuel. Moreover, the man from Bolesławiec will also be held responsible for violating a court-ordered ban and driving despite having his driving licence revoked. The men face up to five years in prison.
The fuel was not recovered because the thieves had already managed to sell it. The person who bought it could also face up to five years in prison for handling stolen goods.
