In a symbolic act of presenting weapons to selected trainees from individual platoons, the commander of the 23rd Artillery Regiment, acting Lieutenant Colonel Paweł Jędryczka, wished them perseverance and success during their training:
Today is your first military holiday. You are receiving weapons, an indispensable attribute of a soldier and an element of military service. An intensive period of training lies ahead of you, culminating in the taking of the military oath.
He added: – I wish everyone success, a quick transition from civilian to military life, and perseverance in acquiring soldiers’ skills.
The regiment commander also familiarized the trainees with the most important areas of training and the tasks they will face during the preparatory training.
The volunteers face nearly four weeks of intensive training, focused largely on regulations and drill, as well as tactical and firearms training. At the end of the training, everyone will take examinations and swear the military oath.
