On Saturday, traffic police officers from Legnica, together with officers from the district headquarters in Bolesławiec, Lubin and Złotoryja, took intensified inspection and preventive measures in Legnica and Legnica County to protect the safety of road users. During the operation, five unmarked vehicles equipped with video recorders and two marked police cars were used.

The officers ensured that drivers and pedestrians complied with the applicable traffic regulations and responded to serious violations involving exceeding the speed limit, particularly within the city. The priority of the operation was to eliminate all manifestations of aggression on the road, which can lead to tragic incidents endangering life and health.

What were the results of the operation?

  • Fifty vehicles were inspected.
  • Thirty fines were issued and five requests for punishment were submitted to the court.
  • Eleven registration certificates were seized for “driving technically defective vehicles that disrupted order and safety in road traffic.”
