As part of an operation involving inspections of waste transport, inspectors from the WITD in Wrocław, together with inspectors from the Voivodeship Inspectorate for Environmental Protection, inspected 15 vehicles carrying waste. Not all cases were free of violations—and consequently, penalties. ITD:

Road Transport Inspection officers from the Kłodzko branch of the WITD in Wrocław stopped a Slovenian vehicle combination for inspection. It was transporting non-ferrous waste from Slovenia to Poland, classified under code 19 12 03. Under the Act on the System for Monitoring Road Transport of Goods, SENT, this load was subject to a transport reporting requirement.

It turned out that a report had been filed, but it was incomplete, as it did not contain the details of the carrier or the vehicles used for the transport. The inspection also revealed that the carrier had failed to transmit the transport vehicle’s geolocation data to the SENT system.

After serious irregularities were found, ITD inspectors called an intervention patrol of the National Revenue Administration to the scene. As part of its duties, the patrol detained the inspected vehicle combination until a deposit was paid toward the anticipated penalty, totaling PLN 20,000.

At another checkpoint, inspectors from the WITD branch in Wrocław inspected a vehicle transporting waste. During the inspection, the driver presented confirmation that a waste transfer note had been prepared, but the sender had incorrectly classified the waste. ITD: “As a result, this matter will be the subject of administrative proceedings conducted by the Voivodeship Inspectorate for Environmental Protection in Wrocław.
