On Friday evening, Border Guard officers from the post in Wrocław-Strachowice received a request from the captain of an aircraft flying from the United Kingdom to intervene on board the plane. A 39-year-old resident of Lower Silesia was on board and was not following the crew’s instructions; he was abusive and aggressive.

Officers from the Special Intervention Team boarded the plane and used transport holds to escort the man off the aircraft.

The 39-year-old was taken to the official premises. Major of the Border Guard Joanna Konieczniak, press spokeswoman for the Nadodrzański Border Guard Unit:

A paramedic was called to the scene, but the passenger refused any examination.

She added:

The man used vulgar language throughout, insulting not only the officers. His behavior was caused by the alcohol he had consumed.

The troublemaker refused to calm down, continued swearing and would not cooperate. The police were therefore called.

It turned out that the 39-year-old, displaying what might be called lancer’s bravado, had nearly 2.9 per mille of alcohol in his system. The result? He remained under police supervision until Sunday. Once he sobered up, Border Guard officers imposed fines totaling PLN 1,500.
