Warnings about a bearded man were circulating online. He had been roaming around residential properties and trying door handles, looking for an opportunity to steal something easily. (He was said to look like a Viking).
We are pleased to report that detectives caught him red-handed. The Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters:
The incident occurred yesterday in Bolesławiec Municipality. The 38-year-old took a handbag containing money and documents from an unlocked car. A few minutes later, the criminal was already in police custody.
Property worth nearly PLN 2,000 was recovered in full.
What is more, the suspect will face charges for another theft. That incident took place in early February in Bolesławiec. The 38-year-old entered a detached house whose door had not been locked and stole a wallet containing documents and cash.
The resident of Bolesławiec County admitted his guilt. Since he is a repeat offender, he could face up to seven and a half years in prison.
