In many Polish cities, demonstrations of solidarity with the Ukrainian nation have taken place and are continuing. In Bolesławiec as well, at 5:00 p.m., people gathered in the market square to express their opposition to the ongoing war in Ukraine. More than 260 people took part in the gathering, including many Ukrainian citizens. There were speeches full of support for Ukrainians, the Ukrainian anthem, as well as tears and emotion...
Let us recall that the war in Ukraine has been ongoing for two days, with Russia as the aggressor. Bolesławiec residents stand in solidarity with the Ukrainian nation.
The organizer of the gathering in the market square was Bolesławiecki Strajk Kobiet, which wrote on its Facebook profile:
For several days, each of us has been observing the situation involving our eastern neighbors. Each of us watched with concern and curiosity, but our first thought was, “Oh, come on... They’ll just threaten us. Putin will show how powerful he is, and it will end with diplomacy.” Unfortunately, that did not happen.
Bolesławiecki Strajk Kobiet stands firmly with Ukraine.
