In the evening, an unusual situation occurred in the Market Square in the City of Ceramics. Two young people were climbing trees growing in the city centre. A Reader recorded them, reacted and ordered the boys to come down.
The man stressed that, in his opinion, this was dangerous behaviour: “How is this possible?”
He added that a branch could have broken while they were climbing, potentially causing one of the boys to fall as well. “God forbid onto someone’s head,” he wrote in his report.
Fortunately, no one was hurt.
Climbing trees, especially on delicate branches, carries a risk of falling—in this case onto a hard, paved surface.
This can result in various types of injuries, including head injuries or fractures.
It is also worth remembering the urban greenery itself. Young ornamental trees are not intended to bear this kind of load, and climbing them can damage branches or bark and consequently weaken the plant.
It should also be borne in mind that improper use of urban greenery, if it results in damage, may entail financial and legal liability.
