The incident took place on Thursday evening, February 24, in the town of Rakowice. The car's driver, a 61-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County, lost control of the vehicle, went off the road and crashed into a tree.
As it turned out, the driver was drunk; a test showed 1.4 per mille of alcohol in his system.
The man was detained. He now faces up to two years in prison.
