Mariusz Kamiński, head of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration in Mateusz Morawiecki’s government, wrote on Twitter on Sunday, February 13:
It is obvious that, in connection with the situation in Ukraine, we are preparing for various scenarios. One of them involves actions by the voivodes related to a possible influx of refugees from Ukraine, who may seek safe shelter in our country because of a possible conflict.

(Among other things, the voivodes were asked to provide a list of facilities where refugees could be accommodated).
If Russia were to attack Ukraine, soldiers from the US Army are to help the Republic of Poland. Pentagon spokesperson John Kirby said:
Helping organize the evacuation and receive a wave of refugees is something our military personnel know how to do and can do quite well.
