During the January meeting of the Bolesławiec City Council, Mirosław Sakowski, an independent councillor and, on a daily basis, also the headmaster of the Janusz Korczak II General Secondary School in Bolesławiec, asked about the pandemic situation in municipal schools. He noted that he was asking because the situation at his school was very bad.
The head of the Social Affairs Department at Bolesławiec City Hall, Beata Sulska, spoke and presented the situation as of 26 January to the councillors:
- Of the 113 classes in municipal schools, as many as 26 are learning remotely.
- The largest number of classes learning remotely is found in the following schools:
- Primary School No. 4 – 9 classes,
- Primary School No. 2 – 8.
- Of the 255 teachers employed in municipal schools, as many as 40 are on sick leave.
