On Tuesday (20 August), a meeting devoted, among other things, to the rise in COVID-19 cases was held at the Ministry of Health. It was attended by, among others, Chief Sanitary Inspector Paweł Grzesiowski, National Consultant for Infectious Diseases Prof. Miłosz Parczewski, and representatives of the National Institute of Public Health and the Office for Registration of Medicinal Products.
Chief Sanitary Inspector, Paweł Grzesiowski, informed PAP that a joint statement for offices and institutions would soon be prepared:
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, as well as influenza and RSV, we will recommend wearing masks and paying greater attention to hand hygiene and surface disinfection.
We will strongly encourage wider testing so that sick people can be detected, diagnosed and also receive recommendations to isolate at home—in other words, to stay home, Grzesiowski said, as quoted by Onet.pl.
