On Thursday, January 20, after 9:00 p.m., traffic police stopped a vehicle for inspection on one of the streets in Bolesławiec. It was being driven by a 45-year-old resident of Karkonosze County.

“During the proceedings, it turned out that by getting behind the wheel, the man had committed a crime by violating court-imposed bans,” explains asp. szt. Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec. “For three years, court decisions have prohibited the 45-year-old from driving vehicles.

She adds:

The bans were imposed in judgments issued by the District Court in Jelenia Góra and the District Court in Lwówek Śląski.

The 45-year-old now faces between three months and as many as five years in prison.
