The incident occurred on January 9 this year. – The duty officer at the Lwówek police station received a report about an intoxicated man who broke into his former partner’s apartment and damaged it – reports Sergeant Olga Łukaszewicz, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Lwówek Śląski. – Moreover, he cut the wire supplying gas from the cylinder to the gas stove and then lit a cigarette, creating a direct threat to the lives and health of the people living in the building.
What is more, the man threatened to kill his former partner and blow up the residential building.
Fortunately, tragedy was avoided. The 46-year-old resident of Wleń was detained. He was completely drunk, with nearly 4 per mille of alcohol in his system. Once he sobered up, he was charged.
Then, at the request of the police and the prosecutor’s office, the court ordered the suspect to be held in temporary custody for three months. The man now faces up to eight years in prison.
