Last Friday, before 6:00 a.m., a fatal accident occurred on national road no. 94 in Jędrzychowice. “Police officers from the Zgorzelec police headquarters, including a forensic technician and a road accident expert, worked at the scene under the supervision of a prosecutor. Preliminary findings indicate that the driver of a tractor unit with a semi-trailer failed to yield right of way to a Volkswagen passenger car carrying four residents of Zgorzelec County,” reports junior aspirant Przemysław Ratajczyk from the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław.
He adds:
As a result of the incident, a 42-year-old passenger in the car died at the scene.
The other people were taken to hospital. Drugs were found on two passengers: cocaine and marijuana (480 retail doses).
The prosecutor’s office is investigating the case. Police:
We appeal to both drivers and pedestrians to exercise caution on the road, comply with applicable regulations and follow the principle of limited trust in other road users. This could help avoid many road accidents.
