The whole story began on 28 December last year. The duty officer at the Lwówek police station received a report that a drunk, aggressive man was threatening his family with a long knife. – The report was confirmed by police officers immediately dispatched to the scene. Moments later, the 49-year-old man was already in police custody – reports Sergeant Olga Łukaszewicz, press officer for the District Police Headquarters in Lwówek Śląski.
What is more, officers found ammunition on the detained man. The spokeswoman says:
Further actions carried out by Criminal Division officers led to the discovery at the 49-year-old’s place of residence of significant components of an automatic machine gun and 38 rounds of various types of ammunition.
At the request of the police and the prosecutor’s office, the court remanded the resident of Wleń in temporary custody for three months. The man faces up to 8 years in prison.
