On Wednesday, 17 March, police officers from Bolesławiec conducted the “Safe Road” operation. The activities were carried out on Kosiby and Lubańska streets. Drivers travelling at excessive speed were stopped at the nearest intersection.
The police checked 89 vehicles and identified 71 offences. Officers seized 9 registration certificates due to the poor technical condition of the vehicles and issued 42 fines for speeding.
That day, officers detained three drunk drivers. Two of them had their driving licences confiscated.
