The ceremony summarizing the DGRSZ first-group sports competition was held at the Military Club in Wędrzyn, with units of the 11th Lubusz Armored Cavalry Division (11LDKPanc) and athletes from:

  • the 6th Airborne Brigade from Kraków,
  • the 21st Podhale Rifle Brigade from Rzeszów,
  • the 1st Sapper Regiment from Brzeg,
  • the 5th Chemical Regiment from Tarnowskie Góry,
  • the Land Forces Training Center from Wrocław,
  • the Żagań and Wędrzyn Training Area Commands,
  • the Mountain Infantry Training Center from Duszniki-Zdrój.

The Commander General of the Branches of the Armed Forces, Gen. Jarosław Mika, was present at the Sports Gala and presented distinctions to commanders of military units, coaches and soldier-athletes. The commander of the 11th Armored Cavalry Division, Maj. Gen. Piotr Trytek:

It is already a tradition that every year we meet to summarize the activities of soldiers taking part in various disciplines in DG RSZ sports competition group No. 1. For the 11th time, our group won the highest title in the overall classification; this is the enormous effort of many people.

Perseverance and a passion for sport are a combination of qualities that helps achieve success. I sincerely congratulate everyone who took part in this year’s competition on their results and titles, and I wish them perseverance and nothing but sporting success.

Thanks were also extended to the commanders of the military units for creating conditions and opportunities for soldier-athletes to train and participate in sporting competitions.

In the past year, the athletes achieved their greatest successes in disciplines such as volleyball, judo, orienteering, cross-country running, futsal, the Physical Fitness Center course, patrol running, shooting with kbk AK and PW rifles, basketball, military pentathlon and swimming.

In the DG RSZ No. 1–11 DKPanc competition classification, the podium places were taken, in order, by:

  1. the 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade
  2. the 17th Greater Poland Mechanized Brigade
  3. the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment.

In addition, two soldiers from the regiment were honored with special awards by the commander of the 11th Armored Cavalry Division, Maj. Gen. Piotr Trytek. During the gala, Maj. Jakub Wołyński, head of the Physical Education and Sports Section of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment in Bolesławiec, received the title of the most outstanding mass-sport coach for 2011–2021, while Sgt. Kamil Makoś was honored as the most outstanding mass-sport athlete for 2011–2021.
